Instead of doing my usual color pencil technique of filling in every single speck of paper showing through, creating the appearance of paint, I went with a more lighting emphasized picture. In other words, being a lazy artist not wanting to spend that much time on it. Although using a limited amount of colors and a more transparent blending on brown paper does create a visually nice, dream-like atmosphere, so I might use this technique more often.
I do like the soft effect you achieved. Nice collection of details and you captured his sullen attitude quite well!
